When you use Zesty, we may collect the following types of information:

  • Technical information: information about your device, operating system, app version, and usage statistics necessary for the app to function properly.
  • Automatically generated data: nutrition estimates and meal analysis results.
  • Meal photos: images you upload to obtain nutrition estimates.
  • Personal information: age, sex, weight, height, allergies, dietary restrictions, physical condition (if provided voluntarily).

3. How we use your data

We use your data for the following purposes:

  • Comply with our legal obligations and process refund requests when necessary.
  • Monitor app performance and resolve technical issues.
  • Manage subscriptions and in-app purchases.
  • Personalize your experience and nutrition recommendations.
  • Provide, operate, and improve the Zesty application.

4. Service providers

We work with trusted partners to run Zesty:

  • OpenAI to analyze your meal photos and generate personalized nutrition programs. Images and data sent to OpenAI are used only to provide Zesty's features and are not used for other purposes.
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services) for secure hosting of our databases and application services.
  • Amplitude to analyze app usage and improve the user experience. The data collected is technical and does not directly identify you.
  • RevenueCat for subscription and in-app purchase management. RevenueCat collects certain transaction-related information (e.g. user ID, subscription status).

All our partners process your data securely and only in the scope of their services, under our supervision.

5. Sharing information with Apple and Google

When you make in-app purchases, we may share limited data with Apple and Google to facilitate the processing of refund requests. This information includes details about your access to and interaction with purchased content and is shared only when necessary, in accordance with Apple and Google policies.

6. Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely on AWS servers. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, modification, disclosure, or destruction.

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have certain rights regarding your personal data, including:

  • Withdraw your consent when processing is based on it.
  • Object to or limit the processing of your data.
  • Request the correction or deletion of your personal data.
  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
